Special session for Trusts who could get H2. 08 02 2024.
Key presenters were Clive Nattrass and the Northern Gas Network

Net Zero Technology Session For NHS Sites With No Obvious Direct Route To Net Zero – 04/10/2023

Many Trusts do not have a direct route to net zero (geothermal, Hydrogen or green district energy). The first half of this talk looks to help those that wish to consider local decarbonisation of gas, so that they have the benefits of decarbonising from existing infrastructure. The second part of the talk looks to help Trusts who have to use heat pumps, to deal with the significant revenue issues associated with heat pumps, through various electrical technologies including flow batteries, solar (on and offsite) and shipping green electricity across the electrical network. (Repeat of talks from 31 08 2023)

NHS Meeting To Discuss Hydrogen Opportunity For Your Hospital – 27/09/2023

This talk explains the bulk of the Hydrogen opportunities across England and the carbon and financial potential to keep using combined heat and power in the Hydrogen areas using subsidised hydrogen. (repeat of presentation from 24th August).

Potential for District Energy Route to Net Zero for your Hospital – 20/09/2023

The Energy Act in parliament strongly advocates low carbon district heating as a heat source for public buildings across the country. This talk supplies more information about the energy act, and explains how to work with a district energy provider ( established or new ) as a route to green your hospital.

Route To Net Zero For High Consuming Trusts With Geothermal Potential – 13/09/2023

Over half of the top energy consuming NHS sites are located in areas with a very good chance of deep geothermal energy. As the actual energy from geothermal plant is intrinsically free, it is possible to install a very expensive geothermal well, maintain it and then enjoy cheaper, low carbon heat energy for decades, despite paying back the investment. This talk explains the concept and the basis under which the first British Geological survey of NHS sites was conducted. Repeat of call from 10/08/2023.

Hydrogen Net Zero Opportunity for NW Trusts – 06/09/2023

Trusts in the North West have the opportunity to join the HyNet Hydrogen project and take subsidised hydrogen from the first carbon capture scheme in the UK. This talk is by Cadent who will ship the Hydrogen, Vertex who will produce the hydrogen at Stanlow, and Grenian who offer an electrolysis option for Trusts.

Potential for Hydrogen and CHP for your hospital if you are outside the Hynet (NW) region 24/08/2023

This talk explains the bulk of the Hydrogen opportunities across England and the carbon and financial potential to keep using combined heat and power in the Hydrogen areas using subsidised hydrogen

Potential for District Energy Route to Net Zero for your Hospital 17/08/2023

The Energy Act in parliament strongly advocates low carbon district heating as a heat source for public buildings across the country. This talk supplies more information about the energy act, and explains how to work with a district energy provider ( established or new ) as a route to green your hospital.

Net Zero Via Geothermal Energy. Your Hospital is Potentially Suitable 10/08/2023
