The first half of this talk looks to help those that wish to consider local decarbonisation of gas, so that they have the benefits of decarbonising from existing infrastructure. The second part of the talk looks to help Trusts who have to use heat pumps, to deal with the significant revenue issues associated with heat pumps, through various electrical technologies including flow batteries, solar (on and offsite) and shipping green electricity across the electrical network. As the actual energy from geothermal plant is intrinsically free, it is possible to install a very expensive geothermal well, maintain it and then enjoy cheaper, low carbon heat energy for decades, despite paying back the investment.
